Very disappointing experience. We drove about an hour to come here for dinner and were both really excited because the restaurant looks beautiful from the outside. Unfortunately, once we sat down, the experience was completely different. Dinner for two came out to over $100, and for that price I expected much better quality, cleanliness, and service. The staff was not friendly or welcoming, but the biggest problem was the food. It was honestly so bad that I couldn’t finish my meal. The lobster smelled extremely unpleasant, did not seem fresh at all, and tasted even worse. I actually started getting a stomach ache while I was eating. Nothing we tried tasted fresh. The desserts were terrible and didn’t even look appetizing, and the fruit was also very disappointing. To make things worse, the bathrooms were dirty and there wasn’t even soap available to wash your hands. For a restaurant serving food, that was especially concerning and made the overall experience even more unpleasant. This place has a decent range of foods! However, do not take any of their boba drinks. They taste like just sugar. On the other hand, their food tastes alright. I wouldn’t come back, I would try it once just for the experience.

i live very close to this buffet for few years now, i must say every time i go back they always improve something!! first of all, now it feels so luxurious, beautiful atmosphere with traditional elements. many new dishes with high quality ingredients, i absolutely adore this buffet! truly worth all the money for the food, atmosphere and the service. thank you for improving and truly feel like a “premium” buffet.

Found this place while looking for Umi Sushi & Seafood Buffet in google. The one we went to was in Hillside Ave over at Queens, but I wanted to go to a place that was essentially closest to my home. That's when I discovered Umi Premium Sushi & Seafood Buffet over by Nostrand Ave. When I looked through the pictures with my friend, I stated the place looked really nice. I even caught my eye on the tree by the entrance. There was an even bigger display of food to choose from, and y'know I had to grab myself some. So I told my parents about this place and they have agreed trying out the buffet. Our reaction? Phenomenal. We were satisfied with the service. All the employees that we've met have been so nice throughout the buffet. My family enjoyed it all. Even my brother John Copeland (the one who recently made a review) was really happy on joining us for dinner last time. We visited so much that most of the people that work in the buffet knows me and my family. Especially one in particular that always say hi to me.
